At just 5–6 years old, Gunner has already overcome more than most dogs ever should. His scars hint at a difficult past we’ll never fully know, and when he first arrived, even simple acts of kindness seemed unfamiliar to him. Yet through everything—including the loss of a leg—Gunner has shown remarkable courage, resilience, and an unwaveringly gentle spirit.

Gunner is the definition of an old soul. Calm, mellow, and incredibly affectionate, he’s happiest simply being near his favorite person. Whether you’re watching movies on the couch, enjoying a quiet afternoon, or heading out for a drive, Gunner is content just sharing the moment with you.

He enjoys leisurely walks, rides beautifully in the car, and never says no to a tasty treat. He’s potty trained, walks nicely on leash as he confidently navigates life on three legs, and absolutely treasures his stuffed toys. Above all else, Gunner loves gentle affection—soft pets, belly rubs, and the comfort of knowing he’s safe and loved.

Gunner would thrive in a peaceful home with someone who appreciates life’s quieter moments. We believe his easygoing, gentle nature could also make him a good fit for a home with cats, given a proper introduction.
