This adorable 9-year-old Terrier mix was found wandering the streets of Long Beach, carrying the weight of years without the care he deserved. He arrived with untreated skin issues, an unneutered status, a mass that needed attention, and a heart murmur. While his condition looked overwhelming at first, what Artie really needed was exactly what he finally received: compassionate veterinary care, good nutrition, and people who believed he was worth saving.

Thanks to the incredible team at Rise and lots of TLC, Artie has blossomed into the happy, healthy little gentleman he was always meant to be.

Artie is as easygoing as they come. He’s quiet, gentle, and perfectly content living a peaceful life. He rarely barks, doesn’t beg at the dinner table, and has wonderfully polite house manners. In fact, while many dogs insist on sleeping beside their people, Artie has his own routine—he’ll happily tuck himself into his dog bed each night, showing just how independent and comfortable he is.

He’s potty trained, keeps accidents out of the house, and is settling beautifully into home life. Every day, his sweet personality shines a little brighter as he realizes this new chapter is here to stay.
