Meet Astro, the sweetest girl in the entire galaxy!

 

At just 6 months old, this sweet girl was found on the streets of Mexico after being hit by a car. The accident left her unable to use her back legs, and for a time, her future seemed uncertain. But Astro’s spirit was far too bright to be dimmed.

 

A kindhearted family stepped in and refused to give up on her. Even though they didn’t have the resources for surgery or professional medical care, they poured their hearts into helping her heal. Day after day, they worked with her—doing simple physical therapy, encouraging her to keep trying, and cheering on every small victory. Slowly but surely, Astro began to regain strength in her legs. First, she learned to stand. Then, she started taking shaky steps. And before long, this determined girl was running and playing again!

 

Today, Astro can walk, run, and romp around like any other dog—just with a little extra wobble that only adds to her charm. Her neurologist has confirmed that there’s no need for further treatment, and she’s perfectly happy and healthy living life her way. In fact, we’re hopeful that with time, she’ll continue to grow even stronger.

 

Now safe with her foster family in SoCal, Astro is finally getting the care and comfort she deserves. She spends her days enjoying cuddles, playtime, and plenty of love. Despite everything she’s been through, she is one of the most trusting and affectionate dogs you could ever meet. Her gentle nature shines through in the way she greets new people with tail wags, soft eyes, and LOTS of kisses. She adores the company of other dogs, is friendly with cats, and would be a wonderful fit for a family who wants a loyal and loving companion. Oh, and her favorite things? Pup cups and chicken strips. 

 

Astro’s journey has shown just how special she truly is. She has faced hardship with courage and come out the other side with a heart as open and kind as ever.
