Supergirl didn’t get that name by accident… she really is a little super hero. Although if you ask her, she’s a completely normal dog thank you very much! Supergirl loves to sit in her person’s lap while they work, zoom around the yard, take naps in her bed or the sun, play with her toys, get belly rubs, and snuggle and give kisses.
She is a miniature American Staffordshire Terrier with some French and American Bulldog mixed in. She was found as a stray in Riverside, likely dumped because she was born with a congenital deformity that impacts her mobility. She can definitely get to where she wants to go, and can be quite fast too, but isn’t a dog who will be able to go on walks around the neighborhood (unless it’s in a stroller or wagon). She loves lying in the grass and being in the yard, but walking on concrete would scuff her little paws.
Overall, the doctors have no concerns about her quality of life, bloodwork, labs, etc. Her front leg didn’t form properly but she is still a happy, active, and playful dog!
Being the special little girl she is, Supergirl is picky about the people she lets into her inner circle… but once you’re “in” she is an incredible, loving, intelligent, and overall wonderful companion. The same goes for other animals so she definitely would need to be the only super pup in your life. This little angel is a low-maintenance, chill, silly, and spunky dog and will add so much love and joy into her new family’s life! Will it be yours?
